“Shining Light: a Vietnamese -Canadian Legacy” tells the extraordinary story of Chieu-Anh Vu, born aboard a sinking cargo ship while fleeing Vietnam, and her mother Mui, who reached a Hong Kong refugee camp before resettling in Canada in spring 1975. The documentary follows Chieu-Anh’s journey from newborn refugee to successful e-commerce entrepreneur, highlighting Canada’s role in welcoming Vietnamese boat people. Hosted by Pacific Canada Heritage Centre – Museum of Migration (PCHC-MoM) on International Women’s Day.
