Asian Canadians and First Nations have been interacting in Victoria area for over 150 years, and we want to hear their stories, bitter or sweet. Join the ACVI team and guest speakers John Adams, Charlayne Thornton-Joe, Ann-Lee and Gordon Switzer, and Songhees elder Joan Morrison at the Robert Bateman Centre, currently featuring the exhibit “Resilience of the People: A Visual History of the Traditional Territory of the Lekwungen/Songhees People,” to share insights and exchange information. The workshop is free, but pre-registration is required and seating is limited. Please RSVP by October 29th. Light refreshments will be provided.
