Pre-registration required through 604-325-2646 or mountainviewcemetery@vancouver.caIn 1890, when the City of Vancouver allocated a section at Mountain View Cemetery for the burial of Chinese, Japanese and Jewish people at the farthest extremity of the grounds’ southern end, the Chinese Benevolent Association purchased 31 lots, each containing 16 graves to bury their members.This walking tour is designed and conducted by three volunteers who have researched the stories on several interesting early Chinese families buried in the Chinese section of the cemetery.Sponsored by Mountain View Cemetery in partnership with PCHC-Museum of Migration Society
